ARRANGEMENTS
As with many large projects, this started as one simple idea to make classic repertoire accessible to treble voices with chamber orchestra. There are now over 25 completed scores.
These arrangements are unpublished and public domain (except where noted), so please contact me directly if you are interested. I am also slowly creating an Orchestral MIDI Mock-Up (OMMU) for each - please have a listen!
TREBLE VOICES and CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
The intention of these arrangements was to create a sub-genre that ranks below that of a full symphonic orchestra and gargantuan chorus (think Carmina Burana or Beethoven 9), but greater than that of a chamber choir and and ensemble of instrumental soloists. The orchestra here is accompaniment for the main attraction - the treble choir. To render these arrangements then, ideally, one might employ string sections in a 6.5.4.6.3 configuration balanced with approximately 60-80 singers. I would not recommend a string section smaller than this, otherwise the strings may then sound too thin and individualistic. The woodwind parts are either 1 or a2 (no larger). There is no brass (except horns) and no percussion (except harp) in any of the arrangements.
